Part Two of The Wild Journey
What a good ending in the book Kelly Barnhill did an amazing job of putting the book together and having a great ending. She really took all the details and descriptive words that she could come up with and put them in one book.
Something that I would change is the ending. I would unfortunately keep going or have a second book come out with all the adventures that Luna went on to talk to the kids that have been taken from the parents. She would have gone on amazing trips and been to many different peoples homes and meet a lot of new people and culture too. Her having power makes her special and be able to connect with the kids more than anyone else. She has an amazing outlook on life and as we keep going in the book she will come across someone that she falls in love with that has also been kidnapped or taken from their family. The love of her life is what well trigger her to think about herself more and not lose sight and all her passion helping others reunite with their birth family. Luna will also be reuniting with her mom and reconnecting. She gets to know where all her curiosity comes from which is her mom. Her mom was always a daredevil and wanted to know what things were and why things were the way they are. She was always curious and not crazy like how others described her. More in the book I will talk about how she shows Luna pictures of her father as well. She has deeper connections with her mom and more understanding of why and how she is the way she is. All her journeys and other fun activities deserve another book or to be continued in this one. The way she ended the book was amazing but for people who yarn for more information in a book that is what would be amazing to have in the book as well.
Some quotes that I really love from the book where:
“Knowledge is power, but it is a terrible power when it’s hoarded and hidden.”
“A story can tell the truth...But stories can also lie. Stories can bend and twist And obfuscate. Controlling stories is power indeed.”
